Free Speakers is an English-speaking Toastmasters club in Frankfurt. We practise communication and leadership with a clear method — and a culture that leaves room for humour, difficult questions and real human connection.

The name is a promise, not decoration.
The club began under the name Frankfurt School Toastmasters. When that chapter ended, the group chose a name that better described the atmosphere it wanted to protect: freedom to explore ideas, practise courage and speak honestly without losing respect for the people listening.
“Free” does not mean without structure. It means the structure serves the speaker — not the other way around.

Growth needs standards. It also needs safety, curiosity and a little play.

A club evening is a workshop, not an audition. The goal is the next better attempt.
Warmth with honesty
Useful feedback can be kind and specific at the same time.
Everyone has a voice
Members, first-time guests and people speaking in a second language all belong in the conversation.
Our signature format
Five minutes that make the meeting feel human.
Open Window comes after the impromptu speaking section. The Toastmaster of the Day opens a short round for a game, a thought, a song, a question or a moment from the heart. Guests often take part because they can contribute from their seat, without stepping into the spotlight.
It is playful by design — and often where the most memorable connection happens.
How growth happens
Learn by doing. Improve through feedback.
There are no lecturers at the front of the room. Members learn by preparing speeches, taking meeting roles, listening closely and evaluating one another.
