Your first club evening
You do not need a speech, a perfect introduction or even the courage to take part. We explain what is happening, give you space to watch and invite you without putting you on the spot.
The evening, step by step
The exact programme changes because members rotate roles and bring new topics. The basic journey stays familiar.
Arrive
A club member welcomes you, helps you find a seat and gives you the short version of the agenda. You can say how involved you want to be.
Set the room
The Toastmaster guides the evening while timekeepers, grammarians and other rotating roles keep everyone learning.
Go deeper
Prepared speeches can be personal, professional, funny or challenging. Each has a learning purpose and a dedicated evaluator.
Think on your feet
People answer a surprise prompt in one or two minutes. Guests may volunteer; passing is always a complete answer.
Open Window
A question, game, song, idea or small story can appear. You may contribute from your seat — or simply enjoy the moment.
Learn, then connect
Evaluators share specific observations. Afterwards, conversation and networking are welcome, never compulsory.
A true club-room moment
One evening, a guest felt more comfortable speaking Russian. A member translated, the room listened and the guest stayed for the full meeting. It was not a polished performance. It was a reminder that communication begins with making space for one another.
